RM of Eyebrow’s story
The Rural Municipality of Eyebrow No. 193 became an incorporated rural municipality on December 13, 1909. It lies in the south-central part of Saskatchewan.
Within its boundaries are the villages of Brownlee and Eyebrow, and the RM office is located in Eyebrow. Other communities have come and gone along the way: Darmody and Mawer were once villages too, until they were dissolved on December 31, 1967. Eskbank and Lake Valley remain as localities within the municipality.
Today the RM is run by an elected council and an appointed administrator, who meet on the second Wednesday of each month. Highways 19, 42, 367 and 627 cross the area, and the Canadian Pacific Railway also runs through it.
